Edgbaston High School for Girls: Education, enrichment, excellence
Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you can make for your child and over the coming months many parents will be weighing up the options available.
Edgbaston High School for Girls is a purposeful and vibrant community, providing 21st Century education based on traditional values.
From the youngest to the most senior pupils the school’s aim is to encourage, develop and support so that each girl leaves EHS having achieved the best possible academic results and developed the skills and confidence to use her talents widely.
Pupils enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum with opportunities to excel in all areas of development, both in and out of school. Year on year academic results are exceptional and an extensive variety of sporting and creative interests are encouraged, through which pupils gain self-confidence and personal satisfaction.
EHS offers a number of generous scholarships at 11+ including a Music Scholarship awarded to girls performing at Grade 4/5 and above. EHS is now taking registrations for the 11+ Entrance Test to Senior School, due to take place on Saturday 19 January 2013.

King Edward VI High School for Girls (KEHS)
Providing a leading education to young women
King Edward VI High School for Girls (KEHS) provides an intellectually stimulating environment for girls of outstanding academic ability. The school has a consistent record of excellence in university entrance, external exam results and extra-curricular activities, and is regularly placed amongst the top UK schools in league tables.
At KEHS the development of the girl as a whole is fundamental to the ethos of the school. There is a generous teacher to pupil ratio and teaching staff are highly qualified in their area of expertise. Pastoral support ensures that girls are steered through the emotional journey of adolescence, as well as the academic journey of school life, and girls leave the school as well-rounded individuals ready to take the next steps towards their chosen career.
The extra-curricular life of the school is rich and there are outstanding facilities to support activities, including a new Performing Arts Centre complete with 400-seater auditorium, 120-seater drama studio and state-of-the-art dance and rehearsal rooms. With over 70 out-of-class activities on offer each week, girls excel at team and individual sports and many go on to become professional musicians, artists and dancers.
