Midland’s chefs launch the “Relish” recipe book

Midland’s Chefs Got Talent! The finest Chefs in The Heart of England celebrate the launch of their new recipe book.

Relish Midlands, The Heart of England, is a new cookbook from Relish Publications and launched on Monday the 18th of June at Hotel la Tour in Birmingham. The book offers the unique flavours of the region by presenting some of the signature recipes of the area’s best chefs for you to try in the comfort of your own home.

Use one of 75 exclusive signature dishes to inspire your cooking, an extensive ‘Relish larder’ to source the best ingredients and the chef’s wine recommendations for the perfect accompaniment in this beautifully illustrated, hardback recipe book.

Teresa Peters, one of the founders of Relish Publications explains, “We have published previous versions of the cookbook for Cumbria; Scotland; Yorkshire; North East England; Manchester and Cheshire; Merseyside and Lancashire; and Wales, so we are excited to finally come to the Midlands.”

The book is introduced by the acclaimed, Michelin-starred, restaurateur and chef Andreas Antona, and includes an entry from his restaurant Simpsons. He explains: “I am immensely proud, of course, to have been invited to write the opening section to a book that celebrates the best of Midland’s food. I want those chefs and producers to succeed, to reach their potential and make sure that when the international audience thinks of great food, they think of the Midlands as readily as Paris or London.”
